Medical update: Thankfully this picture is from a phone, so you can't see details. But you probably get a good picture of what's happening. The hubs took him to the vet today. She gave him a stronger antibiotic and a relief spray. We have to keep giving him a bath everyday, which, for those Dane owners, you know how fun that is. :) He has new spots popping up all along his spine, so we have to keep them clean so they won't look as bad as his hip spots.
Gus is doing well with all this--but he doesn't understand why Waldo doesn't want to play. Gus keeps taking the tennis balls over to Waldo and dropping them in front of him to no avail. :(

I'm SO glad to hear that he got the right diagnosis. Based on what I found online, it did sound like mange that had gotten really bad. Poor Waldo, and poor you guys! But at least he has the right diagnosis and treatment now. We hope he gets better soon!

We were sent by Khyra & her group, just wanted to wish you and Waldo well, it's so sad that he's having so many problems but we're glad you're getting the right treatment & don't have to consider pts. Just one more suggestion, all of ours get fish oil daily, but also 400 iu of vitamin E. It's great for skin & coat and helps promote healing, so maybe of some help to him.

I hope Waldo feels better soon! It's always so hard when they're not feeling well and we can't "make them better" overnight!
Waldo, my man, I am sooooo sorry that I have not been sending enough vibes to your red and itchy self. You look so sad with the cone. I hope your itches are getting better. Sometimes baby doggies get bad things that they can't fight off. Be brave, little dude.
