A Visit From Stella

Stella came to our house this weekend! Aunt Ashley came home for Easter, and brought the new baby with her. This was her first meeting with Gus and Waldo.

She was pretty timid at first. She would only hide under her mommee's legs to say hi.

When we went outside, she only laid down and didn't want to play.

(sorry about the video quality--I had the wrong setting on my camera)

She even jumped over her mommee and hid on the couch to get away from the boys! I think she did not like being sniffed in such an unladylike fashion.

She doesn't have stairs in her home in Kentucky, so she also got to experience them for the first time. Going up was not as big of a deal. Going down, though? SCARY.

Pretty soon, she warmed up to the boys and was playing tug-of-war and bitey face with them like a champ!

We were so happy to meet you, Stella! We can't wait for your next visit!

pee ess: Waldo is demonstrating his "dog park behavior" in this video. Can you see now why we call him "The Policeman"?

She has gotten so big! I love the smooshy face when she is looking down the stairs. Moose understands. He had to learn about stairs at the age of 5 years old!
Glad she warmed up to the big boys at the end!

I don't blame her for being scared at first, those two big guys running around her, making a commotion. Next time will be easier for her,

I do the same thing. I do not like fast moving doggies at all and yell at them when they bounce around.

Poor Stella, she doesn't know she is a big gal, just that she is a little baby.

STAIRS!!! ARG! Us Mastiffs are not designed for stairs at all.

Hi Guys,

You sure are big dawgs! Even the pup, Stella, is huge compared to me and Banjo!

I know a few big dawgs though and they are gentle giants. I bet you two are the same.

I hope Stella can come back and play again real soon.

Stella is getting so big and she is so cute! LOVE that 2nd pic of her laying in the grass. Glad she warmed up to the boys finally. It can be so scary when they are still puppies. :) Waldo is definitely the policeman huh! ;)

Sometimes it take a while for a girl to get used to boys. I still don't like boys other than my brother.

P.S. We went to the dog park again today and found the muddy pond. Momma gave up on trying to keep us out of it and told us to "go for it and have fun". We had to have a bath when we got home but it was so worth it.

Oh.. I'm so glad g & W broke her out of her shyness. How silly to come visit and be too scared.

Yes Stella you are wise to be skeered of them stares. Stares are danjerus if you do not go down them very carefuly. My evil roommate Star is still not shore how to go down them and she falls a lot hahaha I mean poor Star.

Stella is just so sweet - so glad you got to have a visit together. And it looks like she didn't take long to get in on the action. The moms seem to be enjoying things a lot too.
