Run Free, Chloe Amelia

Today, Chloe Amelia crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She has been in mommee's family for 13 1/2 years. She was at the doggee daycare and got stomach bloat. Mommee's mommee was able to be there to hold her paw as she took her last breaths here on earth. She's now able to run free again, sniffing the grass with her little stubby tail wagging as fast as she can wag it. Mommee's sister Ashley (shown here in the photo) bought Chloe by saving her lunch money every day for a year. She took it to the breeder in a Tootsie Roll container.

We'd appreciate pawsitive thoughts for mommee and nana today.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

How sad, but we know that she is happy over the Rainbow Bridge. We all get a little leaky whenever we read about the bridge because it makes us think of our pals who are waiting for us.

They never leave us, you know, even tho we can't see them. A dog's love is eternal, and when we move on they will be there waiting for us.

So sad for you! I am glad her mommee could be with her but it sounds unbearably sad. Bloat is so tragic and unfair. Big hugs and wishes for comfort through this time.

We are very sad to hear of Chloe's passing. We can tell from just that one picture that she was a very sweet doggy. Our mom lost her dog, Savannah, because of bloat, so she knows what a terrible thing it is.

RIP Chloe.

Sorry to hear about Chloe. If we could snap our fingers and get rid of one doggie ailment, it would be bloat.

Just read about Rainbow Bridge which brought back memories of Sal few years since she crossed the bridge but still remember her so fondly. I feel for your loss.
