Christmas Day in Indiana

We went to Indiana on Christmas Day to see daddee's mommee. She was sooo surprised to see us!

We also had a good time in the SNOW! We've had a few flakies at our house in Ohio, but not as much as they got in Indiana! WHEE!!

We also had a good time meeting this alien creature. We had never seen anything like him before! His name was Bill, apparently:

Gus is very interested in the gifts....

This is as close as Waldo would get.  Turns out, he's afraid of boxes and wrapping paper!  He spent the whole night in the other room, away from the scariness.

Run Free, Chloe Amelia

Today, Chloe Amelia crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She has been in mommee's family for 13 1/2 years. She was at the doggee daycare and got stomach bloat. Mommee's mommee was able to be there to hold her paw as she took her last breaths here on earth. She's now able to run free again, sniffing the grass with her little stubby tail wagging as fast as she can wag it. Mommee's sister Ashley (shown here in the photo) bought Chloe by saving her lunch money every day for a year. She took it to the breeder in a Tootsie Roll container.

We'd appreciate pawsitive thoughts for mommee and nana today.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Gus and Waldo have always had trouble with boxes. Not sure why, but the hubs and I have a good time playing around with them! If you don't want to watch the whole movie, skip to the 3:00 mark--Waldo makes me laugh!
